1830's Nantucket history sea chest, Whaleship OHIO

A great piece of NANTUCKET history for your home! This Sailor's sea chest came from aboard the Nantucket Whaleship OHIO, built in the 1830's. It has great original surface with layers of green and red paint, dove-tailed construction, and its remarkably preserved painted portrait of the Whaleship OHIO on the underside of the top displayed when open. Additionally, this chest retains its original rope work beckets (Handles) and its fitted interior compartments.
